What Differentiates Zinc Business Protection

Zinc Business Protection can protect a business in a variety of ways following accident or illness of a key person under the policy, be they shareholders, directors, partners or proprietors. The policy is delivered online, foregoing the need for both lengthy proposal forms and detailed medical information, making the cover more practical and affordable.

A limit of indemnity is chosen for each key person. This provides cover across several different policy sections:

Shareholders, Directors, Partners and Sole trader proprietors can be covered. Should accident or sickness to a key person trigger a claim, the business can determine which sections of the policy are most relevant to protect the business. Claims are paid on a reimbursement basis up to the limit stated within each section, and subject to the overall policy limit. Should the claimant be permanently disabled, a lump sum is payable to the business entity, subject to the overall policy limit. General information as to how Zinc Business Protection may be treated for tax purposes can be found in the Tax Guidance section.

In addition, under the Shareholder Protection section, the policy can provide a lump sum payment to the business, following Permanent Total Disablement to a key person, which can provide the business with appropriate funds to purchase the disabled person's shareholding.*

A Zinc Business Protection policy can only be purchased through affiliated general insurance brokers. The online system will be able to provide a quotation with minutes, subject to satisfactory underwriting criteria. There are no forms to complete and the policy and other relevant administration is all managed electronically, including a number of ways of submitting the premiums.

Zinc Business Protection thus provides an affordable and flexible cover which is delivered online, ensuring a fast and efficient service.
